First locomotive photograph was of Furness Railway 20 (Sharp Stewart 1448/1863) as it ran round the train at Park Halt. There was some concern as to whether the headshunt was long enough for this tender engine, hence the crew watching closely.

The Steam Elephant replica, built in 2001, was visiting from Beamish and was providing the Driver for a Fiver service on 23rd June 2012.Quite tricky getting the whole of the loco in shot.
Two Manning Wardle locos were in use, working as a pair. This is Sir Berkeley, works number 1210 of 1891, at Moor Road Station.
The other Manning Wardle in use was Matthew Murray, works number 1601 of 1903.

For some reason the only shot I took of Austins No 1 (Peckett 5003/1961) with no other loco in shot was just after the Manning Wardles had passed, so the air was still murky!

This was the best shot I could manage of "Carroll" (Hudswell Clarke D631/1946)
Similarly awkward to photograph was "Mary", (Hudswell Clarke D577/1932)
The locomotive which rapidly became my favourite on the day, partly because I had never seen it before, was North Eastern Railway 1310. Here it is seen bringing the branch line train across Moor Road.

Hiding behind a pile of coal was Fowler 4220033/1965.
And also difficult to photograph was No 14 (Manning Wardle 1795/1912).

Slough Estates No 3 again, this time as it emerges from the tunnel on 23rd June 2012.
The smoke emitted by Slough Estates No 3 and the Steam Elephant created quite a cloud, as can be seen here: the diesel on the left is Austins No 1
